Outfit the first: looks like Monday

First off, a word of introduction: I'm a visual effects technician, almost four years out of college, and am trying to be consistent about wardrobe upgrades.  My first post-college job involved hauling boats around a camp, so shorts and t-shirts were the general wear for that job.  When I finally got my first job in my field, I discovered that I could still dress like a hippie scrub college student and that would be perfectly normal.  However, I'm trying to shoot a little higher than that, and this blog is to keep myself accountable as much as anything.

In any case, on to the post.  As for the title, maybe I'm being too hard on myself, but really, I was just lazy when I woke up this morning.  Now, the good news is that, unlike in college, it doesn't mean I rolled out of bed in my pajamas, threw on a coat and my shoes, and ran to class (though my polar bear pajama pants are pretty stylin').  It's not a bad outfit at all, just very simple and nondescript.

Black Jenna flats: Bass

You know what is awesome about this outfit, though?  It is super comfy and doesn't make me look like a slob.  These pants are possibly my new favourite pair.  I cannot possibly say enough good things about Anthro's clearance section.  And the shoes are fantastic.  Bass shoes in general are fantastic. I don't always love their look, but when I find a pair I like, they're worth every penny.  They are very kind to my feet and last forever.  I've been abusing a pair of their tall boots as Jedi boots for six years now- worn them in half a dozen parades, and never had a complaint about how my feet felt afterward.  They're actually in dire need of replacing and held together with superglue now, but still!

Anyhow, that's all I've got for now.  Cheers!
